Kids Chairs for Classrooms and Nurseries

A child who sits at the right height concentrates longer, fidgets less and writes more comfortably, which is why the most important number on a kids chair is the seat height. Our kids chairs come in 28cm, 30cm, 35cm and 40cm seat heights, in durable plastic that wipes clean after lunch and art time. Choose simple activity chairs, soft-shaped tub and lounge chairs for reading corners, or kindergarten chairs with iron legs for classrooms, with free delivery inside Riyadh.

Kids Chairs by Seat Height

Pick the seat height first, then the style. As a general guide, a child’s feet should rest flat on the floor with the knees at roughly a right angle.

For reading corners and quiet areas, choose a rounded seat instead:

Activity Chairs, Kindergarten Chairs or Lounge Chairs?

• Activity chairs are light, one-piece plastic chairs and the most economical choice, which makes them the practical choice for toddler rooms and for replacing chairs that go missing or break over a busy year.
• Kindergarten chairs are more upright and supportive for table work such as writing, drawing and puzzles. The version with iron legs adds stability on hard classroom floors.
• Tub, lounge and armchairs are rounded and low, so children sit back rather than work. They belong in reading corners, quiet areas and waiting spaces.

Matching Chairs to Tables

A chair only works with the right table. The tabletop should sit roughly 20 to 25cm above the seat. A 35cm chair pairs with a table around 55 to 60cm, which is within the range of our adjustable wooden kids tables. A 28cm or 30cm chair pairs with our 50cm plastic tables.

Why Plastic Chairs Suit Classrooms

Classroom chairs are dragged, stood on, wiped several times a day and occasionally used as a step. Plastic handles that treatment without splintering or staining, and it cleans quickly after meals and painting, which matters in a nursery with dozens of children. Bright colours also help teachers organise groups and help young children find their own place.

Chairs for a Whole Class

For nurseries and schools, count one chair per child at each table plus a few spares, and choose one seat height per age group. We quote classroom quantities with a VAT invoice, and you can combine chairs with tables and storage in one order. See our nursery tables and chairs.

Delivery and Payment

Delivery is free inside Riyadh, and we deliver across Saudi Arabia. Larger classroom orders can be paid in instalments with Tabby or Tamara, subject to their minimum order values.
