How to Match Table Height to Your Child

A table that is too high pushes children’s shoulders up while they write, and one that is too low makes them hunch. The simplest check is the chair: the tabletop should sit roughly 20 to 25cm above the seat of the chair the child uses.

• 28 to 30cm chair seat: a table around 50cm, which is our plastic range, suits most two- and three-year-olds.
• 35cm chair seat: a table around 55 to 60cm suits most children from about three to five.
• 40cm chair seat: a table around 60 to 65cm suits most children from about five to seven.

Children grow a size within a school year, which is the real value of the adjustable wooden tables: one table follows a class from September to June, and moves to an older group the year after.
